Catch the Breeze

An article to keep you up to date with SWS

We are forming an IEA team this year. IEA or Interscholastic Equestrian Association is an organization that teaches Horsemanship and Riding Skills. The season involves working toward the IEA shows where competitors travel to a host barn and compete on horses they have never ridden before. No horses or tack is needed to attend a show- just show clothes, which will make the cost of competition considerably less than traditional shows. Membership fees are still being determined, and depend heavily on the number of students on each team. There will be a Middle School (grades 6-8) and a High School (grades 9-12) team with a minimum of 3 members each. The more the merrier, so gather all your friends and sign up today! A sign up sheet is located in the barn, you can find more information at

The United States Pony Club entry packet has arrived for next year! If you have not heard about Pony Club, we are a club that learns everything there is to learn about taking care of horses! If you want to know more than just how to tack and ride a horse, please consider joining! We have two levels of our club, a Junior Club, and a National Club. The Junior Club enjoys the meetings and the learning opportunities the Club offers, without the time or financial commitment the National Club involves. In the National Club, kids can attend 'Rallies' or Pony Club Shows as well as get 'Certified' and move through the levels of Pony Club in riding as well as Horse Management knowledge. Please talk to Andrea about what level would be appropriate for your child, sign-ups will be at the Halloween Fun Show! For more information on Pony Club please visit or the Pony Club page of our website,
