We have lost our dear friend, Richard Surovi.  He passed away on Thursday evening, February 2, 2006, losing his battle with lung cancer.
Richard owned Champion, and spent his retirement days here helping Clay turn out and bring in horses.
Every day they solved the problems of the world as they led horses, their jokes and quips going back and forth. 
I think the kids that were around to listen, enjoyed their banter.
Richard will be remembered for the kind, gentle friend he was to all.  We will miss his strong, supportive  friendship. We knew he would always be here, and now must remember he will not drive in several times a day to help, to listen, to support, and to share. We plan to make a memorial garden here this spring and summer in his honor.
